About Me — The Heart Behind Estrella & The Stars

Welcome — I’m Amanda, a mother, advocate, lifelong learner, and the creator of Estrella & The Stars. My journey hasn’t been simple, but it has been filled with resilience, transformation, and a deep belief that every person carries a light worth protecting.

My life has been shaped by unexpected challenges: caring for a mother with a traumatic brain injury, supporting a partner with a workplace disability, raising two incredible neurodivergent children, navigating my own ADHD and anxiety, surviving a near‑fatal illness, and working within a school system that often asks too much of the people who give the most.

Through all of it, one truth has guided me — we rise by staying true to who we are.

I’ve spent years working with children with high support needs, advocating for safer, more compassionate environments, and returning to university as a mature student to study anthropology. I’ve learned that strength isn’t loud. It’s the quiet decision to keep going, even when the world feels heavy. It’s the courage to rebuild your life again and again.

Estrella & The Stars was born from that courage.

It’s more than a brand. It’s a movement rooted in authenticity, neurodiversity, creativity, and the belief that being different is not a flaw — it’s a superpower. Growing up with very little, I learned early how to create something out of nothing. I hosted library clubs, sold lemonade, and dreamed of building something meaningful. Today, that dream lives here.

This blog is where I share my story — the hard moments, the miracles, the lessons, and the light. It’s a space for anyone who has ever felt overwhelmed, unseen, or unsure of their next step. A space for parents, advocates, neurodivergent families, creatives, and anyone searching for hope.
